i3Display Temperature Type 5 Precautions
  • Temperature measurement distance: 30-50cm
  • Temperature measurement range: 23-48 degrees Celsius
  • Operating Ambient/room temperature: 20-35 degrees Celsius (medical environment)
  • It takes about 10 minutes to start the module
  • Measurement should be based mainly on the temperature of the forehead
  • Module sensor cannot face any light source and glass/mirror
  • Do not let sunlight shine on the module sensor
  • Do not hold the module in your hand, but fix it in a certain position
  1. The temperature in the housing must be within 1 degree Celsius of the room temperature. If it exceeds, it will lead to an increase in the overall temperature, the possibility of lowering the accuracy of the test temperature.
  2. Thermal imaging lens should not to be pressed against the housing to avoid structural problems.
  3. The UART will send a data every 0.25 seconds. It is recommended that the person must stand in front of the sensor for about 2 seconds to obtained accurate temperature readings.
  4. The detection distance is about 30 ~ 50cm, viewing angle will be 35 degrees from the center of the sensor, horizontally and vertically.  Measurement of body temperature should be based mainly on the temperature of the forehead.
  5. Factors below may affect the readings of temperature and should be avoided as much as possible:-
    1. Wind, wind is basically heat dissipation, therefore, the wind will take away the temperature of the forehead.
    2. Sweating, sweating is also a kind of human body automatic cooling, heat dissipation method. Therefore, when there is sweat, the temperature will also decrease.
    3. Room temperature, basically room temperature is too low, it will directly remove the heat of the human body. Therefore, if room temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius, it is not suitable for use, because at this time, the forehead temperature will be directly lower with the lower the room temperature. Similarly, the room temperature is too high, the human body starts to sweat, and the temperature test will be inaccurate.
    4. Sunlight, because the wavelength of sunlight is 10 ~ 15 um. Try to avoid being under the sun as it will be detected as other heat sources. Try not to operate under the sun.
